Know your service provider
Your recycling and garbage collection provider depends on whether you live in a city or Hillsborough County Solid Waste Service Area. Note: Hillsborough County's Service Area includes New Tampa, Tampa Palms, and Hunter's Green.

Curbside collection guidelines
If you have garbage, recycling, or yard waste that needs to be collected, the carts and yard waste should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 PM on the day before collection and no later than after 6 AM on your designated collection day.
