You can apply to have us review your plans for safety. We require Fire Marshal permits in conjunction with building permits, and also for special events such as haunted houses or special amusement attractions.

  • For anything from 100,001 square feet up to 310,000 square feet, add $20 per 10,000 square feet to the review fees
  • Revision fees for anything over $50,000 remain $100

What you will need for the application:

  • Contractor Name and state certificate number
  • Company name and phone
  • Applicant name and phone
  • Job site address
  • Project number (if applicable)
  • Work to be performed
  • Square footage

Things to consider

  • Fire Marshal review fees are based on actual square footage of the construction area
  • Make sure you are accurate when filling out the square footage are in order to avoid automatic resubmittal of your project
  • You must completely test 100 percent of fire alarm system components
  • We do not issue refunds if the project is cancelled

What's next

  1. If this is part of a building permit application, we will review the plans during that process
  2. If this is a stand-alone event plan review, we look over the plans, and notify you if any corrections are needed
  3. If no corrections, or corrections are completed satisfactorily, we will notify you when the permit is ready
  4. Pay full permit costs
  5. You will receive an email notification when your permit has been approved
