A guide for all Commercial Demolition (entire structure demo) projects
Following these guidelines will help ensure the application, plans and supporting documentation are complete and sufficient for permit submittal which will ensure a timely review and response.
General intake requirements
- Apply online at HillsGovHub
- Recorded certified copy of Notice of Commencement in accordance with Florida Statutes 713.13 (required prior to the first inspection)
- Environmental Protection Commission Asbestos Project Information Form must be submitted along with the Demolition Permit Application
- Utility Sign off: upload email response from Hillsborough County Public Utilities Department
- Tampa Electric Sign off: upload approval letter or email from TECO indicating that the demolition permit application has been approved
- Gas Sign off: upload approval letter or email from the gas service provider
- Phone Data Provider Sign off: upload approval letter or email from the phone data service provider
Building plan review requirements
Provide a digital key site plan (drawn to scale) showing the entire parcel to include all buildings located on the parcel with the scope of work clearly depicted. Include safeguards as required per Florida Building Code Chapter 33.
Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA)
Public swimming pools installed in flood hazard areas established in Section 1612.3 shall comply with Section 1612.
