Eligibility and grant information

The CDBG program is administered by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Hillsborough County receives CDBG funding for the unincorporated areas of the County and two municipalities, the City of Plant City and the City of Temple Terrace. The City of Tampa receives its own CDBG allocation.

The Department of Affordable Housing Services, working in conjunction with the County's Procurement Services Department, releases Requests for Proposals annually.

All Affordable Housing land and funding opportunities for federal, state, and local programs are competitive. Notification of any land or funding opportunities is delivered through the Procurement Services online portal.

In order to access the Procurement Services online portal, you will need to register your organization point of contact information. Procurement Services is able to assist you.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants are non-profit agencies that have been operating in good standing with the State of Florida for a minimum of two years. Any party on the Excluded Parties List System will be considered ineligible for funding. Agencies in a non-compliance status with any current funding agreement with Hillsborough County, as determined by AHS, are not eligible to apply.
