Description: To address short-term improvements, County staff added an interim project in the current CIP that includes adding a new northbound left-turn lane and extending the existing southbound right-turn lane at this intersection. These improvements will be made within the existing right-of-way to accelerate implementation and enhance traffic operations, safety, and vehicle flow. The interim project is designed to reduce congestion and conflict points at the intersection, offering immediate operational benefits while the long-term improvements remain in development.

Description: Proposed long-term improvements include intersection improvements to provide left-turn lanes on all approaches, with dual left-turn lanes on the east and west legs of the intersection and a new northbound right-turn lane. There is a plan to update signals (new mast arms), signage, and pavement markings to include pedestrian considerations. Upgrades to drainage and pond to accommodate additional impervious area from turn lanes, traffic separators, shared use path, and curb and gutter are proposed as well. These improvements are subject to change pending approval of Typical Sections and Preliminary Engineering Report (PER).
