What we do
Working with other government agencies and citizen groups, Conservation & Environmental Lands Management administers a voter-approved preservation program to acquire and manage environmentally sensitive lands. The department focuses on environmental lands management, nature preserves, trails, and Conservation Parks in Hillsborough County.
Frequently requested policies
E-Bikes and Motorized Bikes - The Department may prohibit or restrict "motorized" bicycles from operating on County property. To maintain compliance with ADA standards, the Department permits the use of Class I (pedal-assist) e-bikes in County parks. Class II and Class III e-bikes are prohibited.
Drones - The operation of drones in County parks is prohibited unless authorized by the Department Director. Authorization will be granted only for emergency law enforcement or medical/EMS situations.
