Small Business Week's events covered artificial intelligence, banking tips, and government contracts
During National Small Business Week, the first week of May, Hillsborough County's economic development department helped more than 1,000 attendees start and grow their small business at a series of events designed for today's entrepreneurs.
Small business owners came in large numbers to the events to learn about all of the resources available to them through the County's Entrepreneur Collaborative Center as well as financing, government contracts, and even using AI in your business.
The week started with an Entrepreneur Resource Fair designed to connect residents thinking of starting their own business to resources that will help them get started.
Small business owners had two opportunities to learn about how they can take advantage of government contracts at the 12th Annual Open Doors and a new "To Bid or Not to Bid" event where small businesses learned about procurement bidding processes.
The large, combined attendance at the events is a sign that there is an uptick in interest among Hillsborough residents in starting their own business.
