Seasonal job opportunities now open for residents looking to earn, learn, and give back

Hillsborough County is hiring part-time and seasonal employees for its parks and recreational summer camps and programs. These positions offer an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a difference in the community.

The County is looking for enthusiastic leaders to join its team for a 10-week summer job, working 40 hours per week. Summer camp leaders will help create a fun, engaging, and educational experience for children ages 5 to 16. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

A variety of summer camps are offered to residents, including traditional, teen, eco-adventure, skate, and adaptive camps. Leaders will guide campers through outdoor recreation, sports, arts and crafts, and other activities designed to inspire and entertain.

Requirements

  • First aid and CPR certification (must be obtained before starting)
  • A valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
