Every day, Hillsborough County Water Resources delivers more than 73 million gallons of clean, safe drinking water to over 725,000 residents. Through the Quality on Tap campaign, the County is proud to spotlight the science, expertise, and commitment behind every drop that comes out of your faucet.
Whether you are drinking it, giving it to your pets, bathing or cooking, Hillsborough County's water is safe, trusted, and affordable. It is truly Quality on Tap.
In 2024 alone, the County's dedicated team collected more than 7,600 water samples and performed over 33,500 tests to ensure that drinking water meets or exceeds state and federal standards. The certified environmental laboratory conducts thousands of additional tests each year, all to guarantee that residents' water is not only safe, but of the highest quality.
Drinking tap water is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to stay hydrated. At just $4.10 for 1,000 gallons, it's a fraction of the cost of bottled water and better for your wallet and the environment. Behind the scenes, a team of trained water professionals works around the clock to protect public health and preserve the region's water resources.
