Panelists will address how to be more inclusive to people with dementia and their care partners
Hillsborough County, Fla. (March 20, 2025) - Hillsborough County Adult Day Services will host a second symposium focused on supporting a dementia-friendly Hillsborough County.
The symposium and panel discussion will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 South Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center, FL 33573.
The dementia symposium is part of the Hillsborough County Adult Day Care Services Caring About Unifying and Supporting Elders with Dementia (C.A.U.S.E.D.) initiative, which is designed to bring together a coalition of businesses and groups that foster inclusion and support for people with dementia and their care partners.
Through C.A.U.S.E.D., Hillsborough County Adult Day Services is hoping to promote a community that is informed, safe, and respectful of individuals living with dementia, their families, and caregivers, and that provides supportive options that improve quality of life.
The panelists will include professionals from the University of South Florida Memory Disorder Clinic, the University of South Florida Health Department of Neurosurgery, Your Health Tampa Advocate, and Mortellaro Law.
The program is open to the public, including caregivers, support services, medical services, business leaders, and business owners.
