Residents can take storm, construction debris to collection sites or opt for curbside collection.

As post-storm debris removal continues, residents can get rid of the debris by hauling it to a collection site or by preparing it for curbside pickup.

Note: Not all collection sites accept both storm-related yard debris and construction and demolition debris. Please make sure the collection site you are visiting accepts the type of storm debris you want to dispose.

Don't forget your photo ID

Residents must present a photo ID showing the residential address of the property owner.

Prepare your storm debris for curbside pickup

Storm debris contractors will target large piles of tree debris, while your regular weekly yard waste hauler will target yard trash that meets the normal yard waste setout requirements.

Residents should place storm debris curbside without blocking the roadway, mailboxes, or storm drains.

To ensure smooth collection, materials should be separated into three categories:

  • Storm-related yard debris
  • Damaged household appliances
  • Construction and demolition debris (e.g. furniture, drywall, carpet, and fencing)

Bagged waste and household hazardous waste, such as paint or car batteries, will not be accepted as part of this storm-related pickup from rights of way.

More information on how to prepare your debris for pick up, collection site locations and hours, and more can be found at HCFL.gov/MiltonCleanup.
