Hurricane Milton Update No. 60

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2024) – In addition to the temporary sites and extended hours at Hillsborough County Solid Waste facilities, it is now easier for residents who hire a landscaping company or hauler to remove storm debris from their property through the use of a waiver that indicates debris came from their residential property.

Haulers and landscape contractors will need to present a completed waiver at collection sites when disposing of debris. Residential property owners can find these waivers online at HCFL.gov/MiltonCleanup.

Various self-haul options for residents remain in Hillsborough County that have the ability to drop-off debris continue throughout the county.

The County has extended the hours at two sites where residents can dispose of storm debris 24 hours a day with a photo ID:

Both facilities accept storm-related yard debris and construction and demolition debris, such as furniture, drywall, carpet, and fencing.

Two additional temporary sites have been established to accept yard waste and vegetative debris from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a photo ID:

Additional options for residents to dispose of storm debris can be found at HCFL.gov/MiltonCleanup.
