The recent hurricanes caused significant damage and forced us to close many parks locations, including:
- Conservation, neighborhood, and specialty parks
- Nature preserves
- Sports complexes and rec centers
- Boat ramps
While most park locations have opened, due to damage and continued safety concerns, some remain closed.
Before visiting any park location, please use the "Find Park Status" button below to see if the location is on the closed/partially closed list.
Regional Park
Due to recent storms, Lake Park is now being used by FEMA as a debris site. There is no estimated reopening date at this time, so please check back regularly for updates and announcements.
- Facilities are open 7 AM to 6 PM, seven days a week, until further notice
- Residents must present a photo ID showing the residential address of the property owner and a printed or digital copy of their current property tax bill
- Due to heavy traffic volume, please expect potential long wait times
There’s something for everyone at this large park surrounded by suburban homes. For nature lovers, there are five lakes, cypress swamps, pine flatwoods, hardwood hammocks, and lots of wildlife. Marked wooded pathways are great for hikers, cross-country runners, mountain bicyclists, and equestrians. There’s a fitness trail with workout stations, an archery range, two horse arenas, and opportunities to fish and boat on the lakes. The park has a track for Tampa BMX and radio-controlled car racing.
