Hurricane Helene Update No. 27

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Oct. 4, 2024) - Based on limited capacity and expansive amounts of debris, Hillsborough County's landfill and transfer stations are no longer accepting out of Hillsborough County waste.

Starting today, the following landfill and transfer station sites can only be accessed by Hillsborough County residents with a photo ID:

  • Northwest County Solid Waste Facility, 8001 W Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, FL 33625
  • South County Solid Waste Facility, 13000 US-41, Gibsonton, FL 33534
  • Southeast County Landfill, 15960 County Road 672 Lithia, FL 33547

The following Community Collection Centers already require photo ID. These sites have extended hours of 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. through Sunday, Oct. 6:

  • Alderman's Ford Solid Waste Facility ,9402 County Road in Plant City
  • Hillsborough Heights Solid Waste Facility, 6209 County Road in Seffner
  • Northwest County Solid Waste Facility, 8001 W. Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa
  • South County Solid Waste Facility, 13000 US Hwy 41 in Gibsonton
  • Wimauma Solid Waste Facility, 16180 W. Lake Drive in Wimauma
