Register your neighborhood for the Neighborhood Roster to be eligible
From annual community clean-ups to learning how to coexist with wildlife, Hillsborough neighborhoods are going the extra mile to stay healthy, safe, and engaged. In 2023, Calusa Trace Homeowners Association, Keystone Civic Association, and Summerfield Master Community Association all took top honors for efforts in supporting thriving communities.
The Neighborhood Awards are held annually to recognize and reward these outstanding communities. The 2024 application period is open until August 14 at 5 p.m. Nominations are being accepted in three award categories: Healthy Neighborhoods, Safe Neighborhoods, and Engaged Neighborhoods. These awards are designed to recognize organizations that have enriched the quality of life in neighborhoods in unincorporated Hillsborough County.
Before submitting an application, organizations must be part of the Neighborhood Roster. Eligible organizations may submit up to three applications (one application per award category) for projects that occurred between the eligible dates, July 2023-July 2024. One outstanding category award winner determined to have the most impactful project will be selected as the Neighborhood of the Year and the recipient and receive $500.
