Trash, yard waste, and recycling

• Christmas day - no collection and all solid waste facilities closed
• December 24 - regular collection schedule and all solid waste facilities will close at 2:30, if normally open on that day
• December 26 - regular collection schedule and solid waste facilities will follow their normal schedule

Library schedule

Most libraries are closed on holidays and many have modified schedules for several days before and after the Christmas holidays. Check the Library Holiday Closings page for any exceptions and for modified schedules.

Parks and nature preserves

Dec. 25- Christmas Day

• All parks, including conservation parks, staffed splash pads, and staffed skate parks - closed

Dec. 24 or 26 (whichever day is observed -see schedule)

• Staffed parks - closed*
• Conservation parks (fee to enter) - open regular hours
• Staffed splash pads - open 9 AM to 6 PM
• Staffed skate parks - open 10 AM to 7 PM
• Carrollwood Village park, splash pads, and dog park - open either 9 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 9 PM - check Carrollwood Village Park page for exact times.

*Staffed parks may also close on Dec. 24, if the holiday closure dates are Dec. 25 and 26.

Open year round

Nature preserves, dog parks, unstaffed splashpads, and FishHawk skate park are open sunrise to sunset year round. Any exceptions are noted above.
