Provides both internal and external customer service and neighborhoods support to residents, businesses, neighborhood organizations, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), and County staff.

What we do

The Customer Service team supports the County’s main information line, (813) 272-5900, and assists the public by providing general information about County government services, initiatives, and programs. This team also provides initial customer support for three key public-facing departments and serves as the main contact for non-life-threatening public safety concerns.

The department’s Neighborhood Relations team serves as a liaison for County government to neighborhood and civic associations. The team helps support and strengthen neighborhoods through educational and informational programs and initiatives such as the Neighborhood Mini-Grant and Neighborhood Awards. Neighborhood Relations’ goal is to build long lasting relationships and foster healthy, safe, and engaged neighborhoods.

The Customer Engagement team provides sign posting services in support of County department initiatives. By installing temporary signage in public rights-of-way throughout the County, the team helps to inform the public of upcoming projects, programs, BOCC town halls, and events. These signs are one of the main ways residents learn about and participate in County initiatives.
