To perform construction-related work regulated by the State of Florida you must have a contractor license
The contractor license has to be issued by the State of Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) or Hillsborough County.
Fees
- Application fee: $50 nonrefundable application initiation fee
- $230 due upon application acceptance fee

Checklist
The following must be submitted with your application:
- Two (2) personal/character reference letters (Non-work related & must be dated and notarized)
- Verification of Construction Experience forms
- Additional items may be required as noted in the application instructions
