Hillsborough County’s M/WBE & SBE Programs Division hosts two, five-week training sessions
Our Small Contractor Development Program is designed to support the growth and development of MBE certified and SBE registered businesses to secure County contracts and to strengthen their financial and managerial skills to enable them to compete in the private sector.
Program details
The Small Contractor Development Program is offered twice per year (Spring and Fall) in a 5-week format and is FREE of charge to MBE certified and SBE registered businesses. Class size is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Estimating and Bidding
- Bonding and Accounting
- Legal Claims and Disputes
- Management and Administration
- Marketing

- Answer all questions completely
- Attach a copy of the owner’s resume, capabilities statement, business organizational chart and business brochure
- Email completed and signed application and all attachments to both Theresa Kempa (Hillsborough County Economic Development Department) and Emily Rogers (ARIEL Business Group)
Deadline to apply is August 23, 2024.
