The Hillsborough County Trauma Agency is part of the Health Care Services department
The Hillsborough County Trauma System and Trauma Agency were established Jan. 1, 1990 when the Board of County Commissioners and Florida Department of Health approved the initial trauma system plan for Hillsborough County.
As a coalition of public/private partners with resources to positively impact the care of the severely injured, today the Trauma Agency continues its responsibility of administering an inclusive trauma system for Hillsborough County and is an integral part of the trauma, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and healthcare systems of the greater Tampa Bay region.
