Morris Bridge Road South of Cross Creek Boulevard Will Close for Over 2 Weeks for Utility Work

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2025) - A portion of Morris Bridge Road will close for over two weeks for stormwater drainage repair from Monday, Dec. 8, to Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Only a small segment of Morris Bridge Road will be closed between Apache Drive and Bonnet Hole Drive, but the detours for commuters can be extensive. The closure is north of Cory Lake Boulevard and south of Cross Creek Boulevard.

To avoid congestion and delays during this time, drivers can use Cross Creek Boulevard and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to get around the work area. Navigation apps have been updated on the detour and will route drivers around the closure.
