Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 21, 2025) - Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
There is no collection of garbage, recyclables, or yard waste on Thanksgiving Day, and all disposal sites will be closed. Normal scheduled pickup for garbage, recyclables, or yard waste will resume on Friday, Nov. 28, for customers in the unincorporated Hillsborough County Solid Waste service area, which includes Tampa Palms, Hunter's Green, and New Tampa. For customers whose collection day falls on Thursday, normal service will resume on the next regularly scheduled collection day for pickup of garbage, recyclables, or yard waste.
All conservation parks and skate parks will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and will be open Friday. All dog parks will be open on Thursday and Friday.

- All parks, including dog parks, skate parks, conservation parks, nature preserves, trails, boat ramps, skate parks, splash pads, and dog parks.
- Splash pads will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Skate parks will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Carrollwood Village Park will be open 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Hillsborough County solid waste collection services will resume as usual. The Southeast County Landfill, Northwest and South County transfer stations, Resource Recovery Facility, community collection centers, and yard waste processing facilities will reopen with a normal schedule.
