Hillsborough County, Fla. (July 1, 2026) - Most Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

On Friday, July 3, 2026, there will be regular curbside collection for garbage, recycling, and yard waste for Hillsborough County Solid Waste customers whose collection day falls on Friday. Solid Waste Facilities will remain open with regular hours. Solid Waste Administration and Customer Services will be closed.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, there will be no curbside collection for garbage, recycling, and yard waste for Hillsborough County Solid Waste customers whose collection day falls on Saturday. All Solid Waste Facilities and Solid Waste Administration will be closed in observance of Independence Day.

CLOSED on Friday, July 3 (and Saturday, July 4 as noted):

  • Administrative offices of County government
  • Solid Waste Administration & Facilities, including Customer Service
  • Hillsborough County's main Customer Service Center at (813) 272-5900
  • All branches of the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative
  • Parks & Recreation summer camps, recreation centers, skate parks, and sports complexes, including Skyway Sports Complex and the SouthShore Sports Complex (closed Saturday, July 4)
  • Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (closed Saturday, July 4)
  • Sunshine Line transportation service
  • Water Resources customer service centers. Emergency calls regarding County water and wastewater service may be made to (813) 307-1000.
  • Development Services
  • Entrepreneur Collaborative Center
  • New Tampa Performing Arts Center
  • All Aging Services facilities, including adult day care, dining, and senior centers

OPEN on Friday, July 3:

  • All parks, dog parks, splash pads (open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), nature preserves, trails, boat ramps, and conservation parks.
