Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent customer service skills and initiative, an intermediate skill level in computer proficiency and familiarity working with an integrated database, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently as well as an effective team member, strong work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in 2 or more of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, or other skilled trades; or will be a former or current Hillsborough County employee with at least 2 years of experience as a Multi-Trades Worker I.
Minimum qualifications required
- Completion of the tenth grade; AND
- Three years of experience as a skilled trades worker in two or more of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, or other skilled trades; OR
- Completion of the tenth grade and two years of experience as a Multi-Trades Worker I with Hillsborough County; AND
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License
