Gandy boat ramp renovation complete
Hillsborough County's most popular boat ramp has new floating docks and gangways with all six boat lanes open.
The $278,000 project to renovate the Gandy Boat Ramp took roughly a month to complete and was finished mid-August. The overhaul was funded by a combination of fishing and boater registration fees.
Located off the south side of Gandy Blvd., the "Salty" Sol Fleishman public boat ramp is the ideal launch for accessing the central portion of Tampa Bay. The ramp's six lanes are large and over 100 parking spots are available. The Gandy Boat Ramp is at 5108 W. Gandy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33611.
