Curious About Cursive

Learn cursive. It is great for journaling, meditation, and reading historic documents!

Hone a new skill that can be implemented for making thoughtful gifts, meditation, and journaling. Learn to read and write in cursive for a deeper understanding of historic documents and an appreciation for the art of quality penmanship.

Engineering Challenge: Building for Hurricanes

Monday, Aug. 11, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

In this engineering challenge, participants will learn the science behind hurricanes. They will then test their knowledge by attempting to build a tower that can resist a simulated hurricane.

Star Gazers

Join a nighttime adventure and learn about the stars to create your own constellation.

Recommended for children ages 6- 12. Registration is recommended. Be advised the room will be dark for a large portion of the program in order to see the constellations.

Video Game Coding & Design

Friday, Aug. 22, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Through the coding language of block/text coding, kids will utilize coding blocks to set their animated characters and scenes aglow with personality, motions, and boundless creativity.
