Hurricane Milton Update No. 79
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 15, 2024) - Hillsborough County homeowners whose homes sustained damage during Hurricane Ian in 2022 and whose homes were also impacted this year by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton may be eligible for assistance under the Hurricane Ian Housing Repair and Replacement Program.
Hillsborough County homeowners can apply for assistance through Rebuild Florida by visiting Ian.RebuildFlorida.gov. The program is a partnership of Florida Commerce and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Rebuild Florida addresses unmet housing recovery needs through the repair or replacement of hurricane-damaged homes. The program prioritizes low-income families, seniors, those with disabilities, and families with children under the age of 18. The program is designed to ensure homes are decent, safe, and sanitary after sustaining hurricane damage.
Visit Ian.RebuildFlorida.gov to apply or for assistance. For additional information or help filling out an application, impacted homeowners can complete the Contact Us Form or call 1-800-915-6803 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
