Hillsborough County, Fla. (May 8, 2024) - Hillsborough County and the Palm River Community Development Corp. will paint a mural in the median on 78th Street in front of Clair Mel Elementary School on Friday to help draw the attention of motorists and create a placemaking feature for the Palm River Community.
Volunteers from across the community will paint a 1,500-square-foot mural as part of an overall safety and beautification project along 78th Street. The larger 78th Street Corridor spans from Causeway Boulevard to Palm River Road. The project aims to provide safer turning movements along the corridor and additional medians to serve as pedestrian refuges.
