Explore, in person and online, an array of artwork by women artists at local libraries
The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative (HCPLC) doesn't just have books, eBooks , and audiobooks. The libraries also offer movies, music, educational classes and events.
But wait - that's not all!
If you go in person or visit online, you may notice that the libraries also have a wide variety of art on display. In honor of Women's History Month, a virtual collection of paintings, prints, and sculpture by women artists has been curated.

1. "Flying keys" (date unknown) by Mary GrandPré is at the John F. Germany Public Library. This piece is a limited edition giclée print on paper. Giclée refers to digital prints produced by high resolution inkjet printers.

2. "Beauregard the Dog" (circa 1997) by Cindy Niemi Seifert is at the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library. This statue of a carousel dog is made of clay, resin, and papier-mâché.

3. "Dreams come true" (2005) by Lisa Vogt is at the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library. The astronaut design is one of 13 stained glass panels on display.

4. "Summer school" (date unknown) by Virginia Fouché Bolton is at the C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Public Library. This piece is a printed reproduction.
5. "Blue Palms" (2006) by Katie DeLaCruz is at the Arthenia L. Joyner University Area Community Library. This piece was painted with acrylic paint on canvas.

6. "Just Sitting" (2011) by Mary Devereaux Frankle and Josheph Farlow is at the John F. Germany Public Library. The sculpture is made of painted wood on a base of small stones in epoxy.
7. "Tampa Bayshore" (1999) by Roxanne Tobaison is at the John F. Germany Public Library. This piece is a lithograph print of a watercolor painting. A lithograph is a type of print that is usually produced using stone and metal. The image is drawn onto a flat stone or metal plate and affixed to the paper through chemical reaction.

9. "Jetty fishing" (1950) by Gladys Shafran Kashdin is at the Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library. This piece was painted with oil paint on canvas.
