February Local Stories Live features discussion on benefits of Minority Business Enterprise program
Hillsborough County, Fla. (February 26, 2024) - Hillsborough's popular Local Stories Live event in February shines a light on the County's Minority Business Enterprise program.
Millions of dollars in government contracts go out to bid each year, and many are awarded to smaller businesses. To provide an opportunity for small and minority-owned businesses to participate in the County's procurement program, Hillsborough sets goals to award a percentage of contracts to minority-owned businesses in each project. Projects may include construction, contractual services, consulting services, and more.
Two panelists will speak with the attendees and answer questions about how their small business has benefitted from their MBE registration.
