The majority of Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holidays on Thursday and Friday.
Trash, yard waste, and recycling
- Thanksgiving day (Thursday) - no collection and all solid waste facilities are closed
- Day after Thanksgiving (Friday) - regular collection resumes and all solid waste facilities are open

Parks and nature preserves
Thanksgiving Day
- All staffed parks, conservation parks, staffed splash pads, and staffed skate parks - closed
- Carrollwood Village park, dog park, and splash pad - open 9 AM to 5 PM (gate locked if staff is not present)
Day after Thanksgiving
- Staffed parks - closed
- Conservation parks (fee to enter) - open regular hours
- Staffed splash pads - open 9 AM to 6 PM
- Staffed skate parks - open 10 AM to 7 PM
- Carrollwood Village park, dog park, and splash pad - open 9 AM to 9 PM (gate locked if staff is not present)
Open year round
Nature preserves, all other dog parks, and FishHawk skate park are open sunrise to sunset year round. Any exceptions noted above.
