The majority of Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
When July 4 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, offices closures will be on Friday or Monday.
Trash, yard waste, and recycling
If the holiday date falls on Sunday, regular trash schedule will take place and solid waste facilities will be open on Monday.

Parks and nature preserves
- Staffed parks, staffed skate parks, and staffed splashpads - all closed
- Conservation parks (fee to enter) - open normal hours
- Carrollwood Village park, dog park, and splash pad - open 9 AM to 9 PM (gate locked if staff is not present)
Open year round
Nature preserves, all other dog parks, unstaffed splash pads, and FishHawk skate park are open sunrise to sunset year round. Any exceptions are noted above.
