Aging Services Sponsorships

Many active adults 50 and older attend Aging Services events throughout the year at our various Senior Centers and other locations around Hillsborough County. Sponsorship offers a unique opportunity for local businesses and organizations to connect with this vibrant and engaged demographic.

February - Black Heritage Celebration

Hillsborough County’s joyous celebration of Black History will feature music, food, art, and fun. Approximately 450 active adults age 50 and older are expected to participate in this annual event.

• Annual date: End of February - typically the third or fourth Thursday in February
• 2026 date & time: TBD
• Total expected attendance: 400
• Location: The Regent Event Center 6437 Watson Road in Riverview

March - Senior Bake Off

Every year Hillsborough County seniors will have a different cooking challenge to show off their culinary skills! The friendly competition pits center against center to see which team will take home the golden spoon!

April - Aging Services Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

This event offers the registered volunteers of Hillsborough County Aging Services the opportunity to enjoy being celebrated and honored for their invaluable service to our senior and dining center locations

• Locations: Typically includes Brandon, Oaks at Riverview, and Town ‘N Country Senior Centers

September - National Senior Center Month Tournaments/Championships

Every year the National Council on Aging celebrates National Senior Center month in September to focus on the importance of them in communities throughout this country. Aging Services celebrates in many ways at each location, and holds an annual championship tournament! The friendly competition is intense while everyone waits to see which centers will take home the tournament trophies!

• Spades - Oaks Senior Center, 101 E. Kirby St. in Tampa

October - Aging Services Hispanic Heritage

Hillsborough County’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage includes a myriad of activities for adults age 50 and over. Such activities include live music, dancing, arts, fashion, entertainment, and Latin cuisine. Participants of the celebration also enjoy giveaways, which encourage older adults of all cultures to relish the vibrant Hispanic culture. Approximately 400 active adults age 50 and older are expected to participate in this annual event.
