Volunteer and internship opportunities in case management, fitness, activities, nutrition services, and more

Aging Services has many volunteer and internship opportunities. Our volunteer partners include individual residents, corporations, and local colleges and universities.

Eligibility

Requirements vary depending on the volunteer experience you seek. Many opportunities require a Level II background screening and training on medical privacy (HIPAA) requirements.

Opportunities

We need qualified volunteers to assist with a range of programs and services, including:

  • Case management
  • Customer care and client intake
  • Fitness and activities
  • Nutrition services
  • Quality and compliance
  • Senior centers and dining centers

Things to consider

  • We require a criminal background check with the State of Florida for certain volunteer positions and can use the results to determine your acceptance and placement
    • We will keep the results confidential
  • You must sign a confidentiality statement
  • You must sign a Model Release
    • This gives us permission to use photographs/videos of you including in advertising
  • There is no monetary compensation for volunteering or if we use photographs/video of you in advertising or trade
