Brandon, Seffner areas will be treated by helicopter
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Aug. 26, 2026) - Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services and Manatee County Mosquito Control District will conduct aerial applications of Dibrom and Fyfanone insecticides to control adult mosquitoes on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 8:30 p.m. through 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the following locations:
East Tampa/Brandon
- North Boundary: Bessie Dix Road
- South Boundary: Bloomingdale Road
- East Boundary: Gallagher Road
- West Boundary: U.S. 41
The mission will be flown by helicopter at an altitude of 150 feet, with an application rate of one ounce per acre.

- Second alternate spray date: Aug. 28, 2026
