Hillsborough County, Fla. (Aug. 5, 2026) - Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services will be conducting aerial applications of Dibrom insecticide to control adult mosquitoes on Wednesday, Aug. 5, between 8:40 p.m. and midnight in South Tampa, East Tampa and Ruskin locations.
The Aug. 5 mission in South Tampa replaces the planned mission from Aug. 4, which was postponed because of weather.

South Tampa
- North Boundary: Interbay Boulevard
- South Boundary: Picnic Island Boulevard
- East Boundary: South Manhattan Avenue
- West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)
East Tampa
- North Boundary: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
- South Boundary: East 21st Avenue
- East Boundary: North 22nd Avenue
- West Boundary: North Taliaferro Avenue
Ruskin
- North Boundary: Manns Harbour Drive
- South Boundary: Hillsborough/Manatee County Line
- East Boundary: U.S. 41
- West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)
The mission will be flown by helicopter at an altitude of 150 feet, with an application rate of .66 ounces per acre.
