Treatments in East Tampa, Picnic Island follow increased mosquito activity with heavy rains
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2026) - Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services will be conducting aerial applications of Dibrom insecticide to control adult mosquitoes on Tuesday, Aug. 4, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. in East Tampa and South Tampa.

East Tampa
- North Boundary: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
- South Boundary: East 21st Avenue
- East Boundary: North 22nd Avenue
- West Boundary: North Taliaferro Avenue
South Tampa
- North Boundary: Interbay Boulevard
- South Boundary: Picnic Island Boulevard
- East Boundary: South Manhattan Avenue
- West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)
The mission will be flown by helicopter at an altitude of 150 feet, with an application rate of .66 ounces per acre.
