Hillsborough County, Fla. (June 25, 2026) - The precautionary boil water notice that was issued by Hillsborough County Water Resources on June 24 in the HCWRD South Central potable water system that impacted customers in the Berry Bay area has been lifted for all customers.
The notice was lifted today after testing showed the water meets quality standards. Hillsborough County's Water Resources department issued the precautionary boil water notice due to the distribution system pressure in the area falling below the required
regulatory level due to contractor work in the area.
The Florida Department of Health recommends allowing the water to run for 5 minutes at each tap to flush the lines with fresh water. Remember to include misters, drinking fountains, ice makers (discard the first bin full), etc., when flushing the lines.
