Applications are now open for the Special Events Partnership Grant Program

Nonprofit organizations looking to grow arts and cultural events in Hillsborough County can now apply for funding through the Arts Council of Hillsborough County's Special Events Partnership Grant (SEPG) program.

This grant program is designed to strengthen and promote Hillsborough County's cultural assets by supporting events that encourage placemaking, community building, tourism, and economic impact. Eligible events may focus on fine arts, history, recreation, culinary experiences, creative industries, and other cultural attractions that help tell the authentic story of Hillsborough County.

Past grant-support events have included music festivals, cultural heritage programs, film and arts experiences, and community celebrations that activate public spaces and bring residents and visitors together. Recent funded programming has included events such as "Chitlin' Circuit Chronicles," a community discussion and performance series exploring Hillsborough's historic Black music scene.

The SEPG grant is open to eligible nonprofit organizations classified as 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) entities. Funding is intended to support new and emerging events or significantly expand the impact of existing events. Fundraising events are not eligible.

Organizations interested in applying can review eligibility requirements, application guidelines, and program materials here. Applications are open through June 12, 2026, with grant money awarded in 2027.
