Mosquitofish giveaway, equipment demonstrations, free food, and the chance to get up close with a helicopter
Hillsborough County, Fla. (April 9, 2026) - Hillsborough County's annual Public Service Day from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11, is a free, family-friendly event for residents to learn more about the important work that County professionals do to keep the county a great place to live, work, and play.
The event is hosted by Hillsborough's Public Works and Water Resources departments. It is an opportunity to learn about County services, and to see equipment demonstrations to understand how they work and impact your neighborhood.
Both kids and adults can sit in and experience the County's large equipment, such as a helicopter, excavator, and airboat.
