Participants can hike local parks, trails, and preserves through March 31 to earn rewards
There is still time to join the 10th Annual Hiking Spree and take home a limited-edition reward. The program offers numerous trail options, from easy and moderate paved pathways to more strenuous and rugged terrain. Whether it's a short hike at a nearby neighborhood park or a nature preserve, the Hiking Spree offers something for everyone.
How it works
Hike at least eight trails between now and March 31. Participants may hike on their own, with a group, or through one of our guided hikes. Hikers requiring accessible trails may repeat any trail twice for credit, as long as the hikes occur on different dates. Some sites have entrance and parking fees. Registration is free for this year's Hiking Spree and must be completed to participate.
Hiking trail locations and distances
There are four categories of parks, 23 locations, and 23 trails to choose from. There is also a Hikers Choice, which can be any trail of any length, anywhere on earth. Acceptable trails are: Neighborhood parks and recreation center trails Conservation park trails Nature preserve trails Florida State parks and other trails Check out this year's Hiking Spree trail list.
