Expect lane closures and detours for four months
South Parsons Avenue and John Moore Road will have lane closures and detours on either side of Lumsden Road for installation of Tampa Bay Water's South Hillsborough Pipeline. The closures have already started and will be in effect 24/7 for approximately four months during tunneling work.
The southbound lanes of South Parsons Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Vonderburg Drive and Lumsden Road; southbound traffic will be detoured to Vonderburg Drive to Oakfield Drive to South Kings Avenue.
The northbound lanes of John Moore Road will be closed to through traffic between Julie Lane and Lumsden Road; northbound traffic will be detoured to Julie Lane to Bryan Road to Lumsden Road.
Access to local homes and businesses will be maintained.
Active construction work will occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes, such as Bryan Road, for north-south travel. Please follow detour signs and use caution when driving, biking, or walking in the area.
