Steinway Signature Series: Reflections Chamber Ensemble with Ghadeer Abaido: 8 p.m. March 17. Reflections Chamber Ensemble artistic director and clarinetist Stacey McColley will be joined by pianist extraordinaire Ghadeer Abaido to bring to life a program shaped by the ensemble's hallmark spirit of innovation. Sarasota Contemporary Dance Presents: Women of Resistance: 8 p.m. March 25 and March 26. Experience the stories of World War II heroines brought to life on stage through art, dance, and music featuring Sarasota Contemporary Dance. This full-length multimedia stage production honors seven extraordinary women whose bravery and defiance helped bring down the Nazi regime during WW II. Tickets are $30 to $70. Reserved seating is available at NewTampaArtsCenter.org/Tickets. An independent producer/presenter has rented the theater for this performance; it is not produced by New Tampa Performing Arts Center.
Classic Rock Legacy: Night of Floyd: 8 p.m. March 27. Join Classic Rock Legacy as they bring the magic of Pink Floyd to the stage. The band includes a stellar cast of award-winning musicians who have played with Sting and other famous bands and performers. New Tampa Unplugged: Arenas, Lasky, and Nash Project: The Bacharach Book: 3 p.m. March 29. Vocalist Allison Nash, pianist Simon Lasky, and bassist Alejandro Arenas are well-known jazz artists, composers, and band leaders on the Florida jazz scene in their own right. Together, they launch this new collaboration which interprets and reinvents the great compositions of Burt Bacharach, with jazz-sensibility and for a 21st Century audience. Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival: 7 p.m. March 29. Celebrate World Piano Day with award‑winning pianists E‑Na Song, Janna Pena, and Chen Liang. Broadway Open Mic Night: 8 p.m. March 30. Broadway Open Mic Nights at NTPAC are for everyone - whether you're a seasoned performer, preparing for an audition, testing new material, or simply love being part of a creative community. Performers are invited to share songs, monologues, or any short performance piece. Audience members are equally welcome to come enjoy the show. Free admission; no ticket is required. Live piano accompaniment by David Estevez. (Bring your own sheet music if you're singing. No tracks, please.) Performers are asked to complete the form here to let staff know what you'll be sharing.
