Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2025) - A groundbreaking ceremony is set for Thursday to announce an innovative 18-home affordable housing community in Tampa featuring four homes built with 3D printing technology.
The Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Knoll Pine Way neighborhood at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at 5055 Knoll Pine Way, Tampa, FL 33617. Four of the homes will have exterior walls built with 3D printers, making them among the first such homes built by the nonprofit Corporation to Develop Communities.
The 1,200-square-foot homes will have three bedrooms and two baths and be sold below market rate to residents making 80% or less of the Area Median Income.
Hillsborough County contributed $2.4 million to the project.
