Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 5, 2025) - Residents have an opportunity to learn about the work of Hillsborough's Charter Review Board (CRB) and provide feedback on the CRB's proposal for changes to the County's Charter.

The CRB will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at County Center and hope to hear from Hillsborough residents about options regarding a change to the County's Charter.

The Charter establishes the makeup of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) as four single- member districts and three countywide districts. The CRB will discuss this composition and consider whether changes to the Board's structure, which could change how residents in Hillsborough are represented, are appropriate.

Some of the options under consideration include changing from a mix of countywide representatives to only having single-member districts or adding seats to the Board.

Hillsborough residents can make their voices heard at the next CRB meeting about what makeup of the Board they feel would best represent county residents.
