Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 3, 2025) - East Columbus Drive will close for three days this week as CSX crews work to repair the railroad crossing on East Columbus Drive east of U.S. 301.
The road will be closed at the crossing from 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, through Friday evening, Sept. 5, so that crews with CSX and Hillsborough County can repair the tracks and resurface the road.
To avoid congestion and delays during this time, drivers can use Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard or State Road 60 to get around the work area. Navigation apps have been updated on the detour and will route drivers around the closure.
