BBQ Love Fest, Brandon Parade of Lights, Tampa Taco Fest events to receive funding

Fall kicks off the first of 45 events that will be held by 2025 Special Events Partnership Grant recipients. A whopping 37 local organizations, a record number of grantees, were officially selected and awarded funding at the Oct. 23 Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners meeting for their inclusive, community-minded events and programs.

The Temple Terrace Arts & Crafts Festival will feature over 100 artists and crafters. The 51st annual event will be held Nov. 9 and 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at historic Woodmont Park. Exhibitors include fine art, crafts, and culinary artists. The event also features children's arts and crafts, food vendors, and free live entertainment.

Latin food, wine, art, and music await at the fourth-annual Taste of Latino. On Sunday, Nov. 17, noon-6 p.m. at Centennial Park in Ybor City, enjoy an afternoon of culture, community, and connection. Admission is free and attendees will have the opportunity to sample Latin American pastries, including empanadas, pastelillos, and pastelitos. Be sure to bring your lawn chair!

India Festival Tampa celebrates arts and dancing with nearly 1,000 participants from of all ages showcasing their talents. The event features dozens of exhibitors and food stalls and is Florida's largest festival of arts and dances. Visit the Florida State Fairgrounds on Saturday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. for this action-packed event. Admission is $12 for children ages 5-12 and $14 for ages 12 and up. Free admission for children age 4 and under.

Other grant recipients include Greater Hillsborough County Fair Association, Ruskin-SouthShore Chamber of Commerce, Tampa City Ballet, and many others.
