Arts Council of Hillsborough County invites residents to enjoy local art at County Center rotating installation

A new youth art installation is now open to the public. "Rising Voices: Creative Works by Hillsborough County Youth" is a rotating exhibit series showcasing artwork created by students from across the county, celebrating their imagination, skill, and creativity.

The installation is in the lobby of the County Center at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602.

Over the next year, the series will feature six unique exhibits of student-created work. The first, "Riverfest Reflections: Immersive Event Photography," highlights the work of Blake High School students who took images at this year's Tampa Riverfest.

Bursting with color, movement, and fresh perspectives, the photographs capture the energy of the 2025 event while spotlighting the students' emerging talents. For all seven participating students, this was their first experience working as professional photographers - an opportunity that encourages artistic growth and potential career exploration.

The photography project was supported by a Community Arts Impact Grant from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, which funded the cameras used by the students. Tampa Riverfest was also supported in part through the Arts Council's Special Event Partnership Grant program.

Hosting the installation at County Center makes the exhibit easily accessible to the community, and residents are encouraged to stop by and enjoy a moment of creativity and inspiration.

The Arts Council of Hillsborough County provides a unified voice for cultural organizations and activities throughout Tampa Bay. Through grants, marketing initiatives, research, and advocacy, the Arts Council helps the region's cultural community thrive. To learn more, visit HCFL.gov/ArtsCouncil.
