Grant amounts of up to $5,000 available for neighborhood improvement projects

Hillsborough County Neighborhood Relations is now accepting applications for the 2025 Neighborhood Mini-Grant Program Eligible neighborhood associations can apply for funds up to $5,000 to strengthen and engage their communities through innovative and creative community projects.

Last year's grant recipients included 17 neighborhoods with projects ranging from lighting installation to community gathering space construction, and the purchase of exercise equipment.

Magdalene Shores, a grant recipient, found a unique way to bring residents together - by installing a motorless watercraft storage rack to increase paddle watersport exercise. Carrollwood Village Homeowners Association enhanced an existing community gathering space by adding sculptural musical flowers. With resident safety in mind, Westshore Townhomes installed solar uplighting and new cameras and planted bushes to cover exposed wires, electrical boxes, irrigation boxes, and fire meters.
