WHAT: Ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating Armature Place improvements

Hillsborough County, Fla. (July 10, 2024) - Hillsborough County and the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa on Thursday, July 11, will celebrate the acquisition and dramatic improvements to a 96-unit affordable housing complex near Busch Gardens.
Armature Place Apartments offers one- and two-bedroom rental apartments for residents making 80% or less of Area Median Income. The year-long project involved extensive interior and exterior renovations, including new kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops, flooring, and appliances. Other work included major HVAC and plumbing improvements, new sidewalks, and the addition of a racquetball court.
Hillsborough County contributed $16.2 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to help the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa purchase and rehabilitate the apartment complex.
Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. at Armature Place Apartments, 4131 E. Busch Blvd., Tampa, FL 33617, featuring officials from the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Hillsborough County, and others involved in the project.
